Symptoms of Depression

 Depression is one of the most, if not the most, diagnosed mental illnesses. Many people are aware of a few symptoms of depression, but may not be aware of the others. Below are just some symptoms of depression to be aware of. While each of these symptoms alone do not mean you are depressed, some combination of these usually does indicate depression. If you believe that you may have these, talk to a counselor or medical professional who is trained to clarify your symptoms and provide treatment.

Depressed mood most of the day
Don’t enjoy activities
Difficulty Sleeping
Decreased or increased appetite or changes in weight
Fatigue or decreased energy
Feeling sluggish or slow
Difficulty concentrating
Feeling worthless or guilty
Thoughts of death and suicide
